I am sooooo ready

Man, it's been a long time since I've posted. I've been busy being anemic. Yep, another in the long saga that has been my pregnancy, I was diagnosed as being pretty seriously anemic. My sciatica is terrible. Now, my obstetrician has written in my file BIG BABY, yes in capital letters. He was leary at my last appt. about me delivering, and between him, DH and myself, we have decided that we're having a C-section. They thought it would probably be tomorrow, but the Dr. can't get OR time until Friday. So, baby's birthday will be the 30th of June. And it can't come soon enough for me. I don't remember being uncomfortable like this with DS. And the heat is really not helping at all. 36 degrees inside my house yesterday. Can you say Puddle of MOMMY??????

Wasn't that a party

My husband's head is like a football . . . Me oh me oh my . . . haha. My sis and bro-in-law had their annual BBQ, which we turned into a surprise party for a friend of ours, it was her 30th. It was great to see the look on her face when her family came out, and even better when she opened her present, which she soooo deserved, and it made it all worthwhile when she cried cause she was so touched.

It's odd being at a party, with people you are used to drinking with (not that we do it often, but when we do, we do it well). Dh and I kind of have a rule that we alternate parties, one of us always stays sober (unless someone else is driving) and it usually works that he drinks when we're with his friends, me with mine. So, of course, being 8 months pregnant (that's right, only 4 weeks left) he drank with "my" friends last night. And drank he did. No one had ever seen him like that because of our agreement. He apparently had a good time, dancing for everyone (something he's mortified about today, and not something he would do sober), playing air guitar, singing. It was really special. He had a couple of my friends laughing pretty hard. They even asked if I would let him drink with them again, cause he was good entertainment.

Let me tell you, it was really special entertainment when he prayed to the porcelain gods for about 10 minutes straight when we got home (thank GOD he made it inside), and then passed out snoring for 6 hours on our ensuite bathroom floor. Apparently my bro-in-law was hugging the porcelain last night too. So I guess they had a pretty good time. Wonder how long till the two of them want to drink Crown Royal again?????? I got some justice for him keeping me awake last night though, I let my nephew and son wake him up at 8am, and then made him get up, have a shower so he didn't stink of whiskey (at which point he informed me that he was still a little drunk) and make waffles for the kids for breakfast (we had my sis's kids sleep over last night). Ahhh, sweet justice. He then had to sit and listen to the kids playing for the next hour before we took them home. Okay, really, the only thing I really insisted on was the shower. Man he stunk. He's now sleeping again. When DS wakes up from his nap, I'll let him wake up dear old daddy.

Next party it's my turn, but I don't think I'll take advantage quite like DH did!!!
