Rootbeer Score!

I don't particularly like pop, but I do like the flavour of rootbeer. I particularly am fond of rootbeer slurpees, but they are VERY hard to find. I stopped at my local gas-station to get some gas, decided to go in to get a small slurpee, as I was hot. Lo and behold, they had Rootbeer!!!! I am now looking at what is probably triple the amount of sugar that I'm supposed to have, but WHATEVER. I am in bliss.

He made it through the night

Well, almost. Last night was the third night that T slept in a big boy bed. We started on Monday, had his nap without any problems, went to bed without problems. At 1am or so, I heard a great kerthunk, as I opened his door, he was climbing back into bed and said "I felled out of my bed mommy" I told him it was okay, and he went right back to sleep. At 5am, he was crying, and wanted to go in his crib. I let him, and he slept for another couple of hours. Tuesday he had his nap in his bed with no problems, went to bed at night with no problems, and fell out at about 11pm. At 1:30, he woke up saying he wanted to go in his crib. By the time I got his door open, he was trying to climb in. I put him in his crib rather than find him climbing in again. Yesterday, it took him a little while to fall asleep for nap, and again at bedtime. He fell out again last night at about 9:30pm. I told him it was okay, and mommy used to fall out of her bed when I was his age. He thought that was funny, climbed back into bed, and went right back to sleep - until 7:15 this morning. YAY! Today when I put him down for his nap, he says to me "and I stay in my bed, no playing". I had to chuckle, cause I say this to him everytime I tuck him in. It's worked, so far. I'm so proud of him. We did talk it up for a while, he's got older cousins, and he likes doing what they do, so I think that's helped. That, and the bed's been in his room for a couple weeks now, and we haven't pressured him about it, I think in fact we almost let him think it was his decision.

Oh, and giving him 2 jelly beans (only after nap time, if he's stayed in bed till the end of nap) hasn't hurt either. Man, if only 2 jelly beans would work to bribe him forever!

I hope that we continue to have such success with this!

Apparently I'm huge

or so everyone says. My mom stated that I looked enormously pregnant recently. Or something along those lines. You don't need to tell me. I've been feeling huge for a while now. My mom was also nice enough to say I hadn't gained anywhere but my belly, but I think she was just trying to placate me. However, at 29 weeks I have only gained like 6 lbs because I've been so sick. OH, ya, I've had bronchitis for the last three weeks. I'm so exhausted.

That, and I had my regular prenatal today. And get this, I'm measuring 32 WEEKS. YUP, BIG MOMMA. I only had about 2 seconds with my doctor because he was running an hour behind, so I didn't get to ask him what that means, but he did say at my last appointment - at 25 weeks - I was measuring 26 weeks. And now at 29 weeks, I'm measuring 32. 32!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT. Sorry, but it scared me. I had my apt. with my obstetrician yesterday, and he did say the VBack was a go ahead, unless baby was too big. He then felt the baby, and swear to god, said "well, it's not a small one". I should have known what was coming today. I might just opt for another C-Section out of fear. I still have another 11 weeks for this sucker to grow! What the hell??? I immediately called my DH upon leaving the doctor to ream him out for his family's big genes. He was appropriately appologetic, and a little silenced. Poor man. Hormonal wife, cranky cause she hasn't slept in two nights finds out the baby she's carrying is the size of a mammoth. Oh, and the mammoth decided I didn't need to sleep last night, and moved, no, stuck arms and legs out my side for a full three hours last night. Thank you darling.

OY. I need to sleep.

And so TJ has another

Ear infection. Fun, fun, joy, joy. Even though the doctor thought he was getting better. T woke up screaming from his nap this afternoon, patting his ear. Owies ear mommy, owies ear mommy. Great. I'm totally not with it, having a VERY hard time breathing. Luckily, DH is no more than 40 minutes away, I wait for him to pick us up to take us to the walk in clinic. Two hours and plenty of crying later, we walk out with a prescription for antibiotics for T, who's right ear looks "ugly" according to the doc at the walk in clinic. He said that when they're sick and stuffed up like T, an ear infection can come on in a matter of hours, particularly if they're laying down. Ugh. And so the fun carries on in the Turkey's household!

Apparently I'm sick

or so the doctor says. I know, I feel like crap, but I've only been sick since sunday. I took T in because he'd been coughing since last Wednesday, and hasn't been eating or sleeping very well, which is unusual for him. So I called the doctor and they fit me in. However, the doctor was more interested in my cough than T. He says T's on the mend, and his chest sounds fine. He asked if I had a fever, when I said no, he stuck a thermometer in my mouth and told me I did. He then proceeded to tell me he didn't like the way I sounded, and was concerned about my cough. He upped my inhalers from one puff twice a day to two puffs three times a day, and put me on antibiotics. Since I came home, the cough is worse. And apparently, my head is a little foggier than I thought, because typing this is very tough. I keep making spelling mistakes.

Did you know all I can take are stupid halls, and tylenol? That doesn't help the cough or the sore throat!!!!!!!!!!

UGH. I hope I feel better. I wanna go to BAV's on saturday. OH, and did I mention, I'm supposed to be having my family, and DH's family over on Sunday for DH's birthday?

YA.
